Introducing Dr. Emily Rotert, PT, DPT
Joining our exceptional team is Dr. Emily Rotert, PT, DPT. Emily attended Concordia University Nebraska, in Seward, NE, where she majored in Exercise Science with minors in Chemistry and Biology. While at Concordia she was a member of the track team and earned NAIA All American Rankings in the 400 hurdles and the 4×400 meter relay. Upon graduating in 2009, she was accepted into the University of Kansas Medical Center where she would obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She graduated in May 2012 and began working in the Kansas City area. Emily lived and worked in Kansas City until moving to the McHenry area in May 2019.
During her seven years as a physical therapist in Kansas City, Emily worked with a wide variety of patients in the outpatient setting. She completed a year long Certification Program in Concussion Management and has been working with post-concussion patients for the past four years.
Emily utilizes numerous manual therapy techniques along with incorporating targeted exercises into her treatment sessions. Emily recently completed training in Functional Dry Needling. Outside of work, Emily enjoys hanging out with her husband Mark and two children. She also enjoys an active lifestyle of biking, running and lifting. She is looking forward to working in her new garden over the summer as well. Her husband grew up in Algonquin and they are eager to begin their new adventure as a family and look forward to the opportunities that the area brings for their children.
